This cable tester checks 3-pin and 5-pin DMX cables for continuity in fully automatic or manual pin selection modes. Pin connection status of the male and female cable ends is indicated by two rows of bright LEDs. In addition, the unit’s 3-pin connectors can also be used to test XLR microphone cables. The DMX Cable Tester comes with two L-brackets for variable mounting options.

This cable tester comes with all audio and electronics industry standard inputs, such as XLR (3-pin/5-pin), 3.5mm jack, 6.3mm jack, DIN (3-pin/5-pin), RCA, Speaker (4-pin), RJ45, RJ11, BNC.
The unit has separate units, which can be locked together or split apart for testing cables at either end of a signal chain.
