DAP NRG-8, Passive 8" full-range loudspeaker
The DAP NRG-8 is a passive full-range speaker with an output of 400 watts peak (120 watts continuous RMS). It has an 8" woofer and a 1" compression driver. With a sensitivity of 93 dB/W/m, the NRG-8 plays comfortably up to 114 dB with peaks of up to 126 dB. The compression driver is coupled to a rotatable horn with a directivity of 90°x 60°. The woofer has a low cut-off point of 80 Hertz (-6 dB).
The sturdy, lightweight plywood cabinet has a double speaker flange (0° and 5°), allowing you to point the cabinet downwards when set up on a pole. It is equipped with 4-pole speaker in and thru connectors and features an additional 4-pole terminal connector, which is especially useful for permanent installation applications. To get the most out of the NRG-8, we recommend using a 4th-order high-pass filter at 60 Hertz and using an NRG-series subwoofer with it.
